Astrology can help guide us and better understand our feelings, behaviours and tendencies. It can be one tool among so many to help us understand who and how we are, the basis of self-love. We talked to Ines Heals, a modern astrologer, and asked her to share some tips on how to enrich your self-care regimen based on the unique traits of your sun sign.


Aries energy is feisty, pioneering, and reflects the joy of new beginnings. You are super active and love to be busy with projects that allow you to tap into your unique skills and nurture your individuality. Work with the herbs Skullcap or Gotu Kola to help nurture the mind and relax the cognitive functions. Any flowery scents, such as lavender or rose, will also be helpful in calming irritability and nourish your receptive, Yin side.

Taurus energy is naturally sensual, lush with desire and fond of fine foods, wines and all things beautiful. Freshly laundered sheets, flowers in the home, and beauty rituals such as facials and long baths with essential oils and salts will always provide a sense of comfort and nurture the self-worth of the Taurus person! You have expensive tastes and enjoy the experience of buying products that reflect what you truly value in life. Take joy in selecting the finest items and spoiling yourself once in a while with something luxurious. As a Fixed Earth sign, you would do well to also spend time in nature. Indulge in a romantic day at the spa with your partner and really let yourself bask and connect to your inner sense of royalty. You are the kings and queens of the zodiac and you deserve to feel good! Don’t allow others to make you feel shy about radiating your inner strength, as following your confidence is what makes you learn and grow. In medical astrology, Leo rules the heart, so you would do well to keep your heart space loving and generous, as well as healthy by avoiding red meats and getting the right amount of exercise. Your highly sensitive nature means a day in the life of a Pisces can be overwhelming compared to the way that the other signs are processing reality, making your daily retreat more than warranted!
